Symoné Berry, affectionately known as “Beez” to her online audience of over 600,000, is a trailblazer in the Government Technology (GovTech) industry with more than 15 years of experience spanning software development, SATCOM systems engineering, radar systems engineering, and cybersecurity.
As the visionary behind GovTechCon, Symoné embodies the 2025 theme, "Welcome to the Future of GovTech", by empowering the next generation of GovTech professionals. Her mission to bring 10,000 Veterans and underrepresented individuals into GovTech careers has already transformed the lives of thousands.
Symoné is one of the prominent faces of CompTIA, a long-term partner with ClearanceJobs, and a dedicated educator who has trained over 2,000 people in IT and cybersecurity. She has hosted more than 400 workshops and events—both virtual and in person—and is responsible for over 1,000 career placements in technology roles with Federal Government and Government Contractor organizations.

I am a software developer with an interest in cloud and prior to GovTechCon, knew fairly little about govtech and cybersecurity. I found the career talks very informative and engaging and really enjoyed learning through attending sessions in the cyber track. It was a really well run conference, shoutout to Symone Beez!
